About
Font Palette is a free tool for finding and copying the special characters, emoticons, unicode fonts and ready-made decorations people use on Instagram profiles, posts and stories. Everything here is one tap to copy.
Why it exists
There is no shortage of symbol websites, but most of them dump several thousand characters onto one page in no particular order and leave you to scroll. That makes it hard to answer the only question that matters: which of these actually suits my profile? Font Palette is organised around choosing rather than listing — categories with real descriptions, mood-based presets, and a dense tile grid built for thumbs.
What is different here
- Searchable in plain words— type “heart”, “divider” or “blank” and get the characters people actually mean by them, ranked so the obvious one is first.
- Presets by mood — cute, chic, dreamy, retro, minimal and playful decorations that are finished and ready to paste.
- A font changer with 28 styles — type once, copy any style, with a filter for the styles that work beyond the Latin alphabet.
- A bio builder — collect characters, reorder them, add line breaks, and see the 150-character Instagram limit as you compose.
- Mobile first, no account — nearly all real usage happens on a phone, so the whole interface is built for touch, and nothing asks you to sign up.
When characters show as boxes
A unicode character can render as an empty rectangle (□) if the device or app displaying it has no glyph for it. The text is not broken — that font simply does not cover the character. Choosing a more widely supported symbol fixes it, and our guide on the subject explains which families are safest.
